You were elected as treasurer of your Kiwanis club because your fellow members recognized your trustworthiness, financial responsibility, and commitment to service. In this role, you are entrusted with overseeing the financial well-being of your club—ensuring transparency, accountability, and sound financial practices.
As treasurer, you are responsible for managing the club’s funds, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets and reports, and ensuring that all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Your attention to detail and consistency helps keep your club financially strong and compliant with Kiwanis requirements.
To support you in this important role, Club Leadership Education (CLE) is available to help you:
•Understand your responsibilities and duties as club treasurer •Learn how to manage club funds, budgets, and reporting •Strengthen your organizational and financial management skills •Gain a working knowledge of Kiwanis’ financial procedures and expectations
Training Options
You have two options to complete this essential education:
Classroom Education: We will hold two in-person training sessions, one in South Jersey and one in North Jersey.
South Jersey Training Session:•Location: Stockton University, 101 Vera King Farris Dr, Galloway, NJ 08205 •Date: Saturday, July 26 •Time: Begins at 9:00 a.m. •Details: A continental breakfast will be served
North Jersey Training:•Location: Frank’s Office, 90 East Halsey Road, Third Floor, Parsippany (If the door is locked, use code #304 on the front door pad) •Date: Saturday, August 16 •Time: Begins at 9:00 a.m. •Details: A continental breakfast will be served
As treasurer, you are also a member of your club’s board of directors. We encourage you—and all board members—to complete the Club Leadership Education for Board Members.
By preparing thoroughly and approaching your role with care, you will support your club’s leadership, help ensure financial health, and contribute meaningfully to the Kiwanis mission: serving the children of the world.
